Bianca N. Martinez is a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT118745).
Bianca received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge.
She enjoys working alongside individuals, couples and families on their unique journey of self-discovery and healing. By creating a warm and non-judgmental environment, Bianca allows them to safely explore their innermost feelings and emotions as they move towards a life full of happiness and fulfillment. Bianca takes a holistic approach to mental health paying close attention to the interconnectedness of the body, mind and spirit, and tailors therapy to fit the unique needs of every client.
Over the past few years Bianca has developed a passion for working with everything related to Maternal Mental Health and the sometimes-difficult transition into motherhood. She has also recently completed the “Maternal Mental Health Certificate Training for Mental Health and Clinical Professions” and the “Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy” trainings offered through Postpartum Support International and 2020 Mom and which focuses on Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders.
Bianca is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which is a form of psychotherapy used to treat troubling symptoms (anxiety, guilt, anger, depression, panic, sleep disturbance, flashbacks, etc.) which result from traumatic experiences.
Additionally, Bianca has been trained as a facilitator for Prepare/Enrich, a program proven to significantly impact the relationships of both premarital and married couples and is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).
